One summer day in 2020, Madelynne was out with a friend, swiping through a dating app, when a blonde-haired, blue-eyed Eastern European caught her eye. Curious, her friend glanced at Madelynne’s phone and immediately recognized him—he was from her hometown of Ternopil, Ukraine! Excited, she insisted that Madelynne message him.
A week later, they met and instantly clicked. Volodymyr was drawn to Madelynne’s adventurous spirit, while she loved his kindness and infectious laugh. That night, they swam in Lake Michigan under the stars, talking about design, travel, and their future.
